I dropped my cell phone in a bucket of water. will it work again?

Believe it or not, Ive actually had this happen to me a couple of times. The first time I dropped it in a lake and had to swim down feet or so to retrieve it. The second time I was fishing for striped bass on Block Island, and was in the water up to my waist. I forgot that I had my cell phone attached to my belt.brbrIn both cases yes, even with the salt water from the ocean I was able to salvage the phone. The first thing to do is remove the battery from the phone. Also, remove the antenna, as water can be trapped in there as well. Then wipe all parts of the phone with a dry cloth. Now lay the parts out with the phone upright so that water can drain out of it. After a few days of drying, reassemble the phone, and it should work.brbrBest of luck.
