I dropped my phone in the water?
and all i did was towel dry it and remove the battery what else shouldve i done? or is my phone gone already?

No, your phone is not gone yet all you need to do is take it apart again cover it in rice dont mess with it for a couple days the uncooked rice with absorb the moisture. This has personly saved me laptops and phones. Dont listen to the other people setting it in the sun and blow drying it with damage your phone even more.
